Volunteers are essential to how Onyx shows up in community. Whether supporting health screenings, welcoming residents at events, helping with data capture, mentoring students, or assisting with outreach, your time helps turn one-day activations into trusted pathways to care

Volunteer Opportunities

  1. Community Health Events
    Support check-in, wayfinding, hospitality, setup, breakdown, and resident engagement.
  2. Screening Support
    Assist with non-clinical flow for BP, PSA, glucose, HIV/STI education, and referral events.
  3. Student and Intern Support
    Help train, mentor, or supervise students interested in public health, pharmacy, medicine, social work, and community health.
  4. Outreach and Canvassing
    Help share trusted health information at churches, schools, senior buildings, barbershops, salons, and community events.
  5. Administrative and Special Projects
    Support follow-up calls, spreadsheets, resource guides, mailings, supply packing, and event coordination.
  6. Corporate or Group Volunteer Days
    Invite companies, fraternities, sororities, schools, churches, or civic groups to support a community activation.

FAQs

Do I need clinical experience?
No. Many roles are non-clinical.


Can students volunteer?
Yes. Students are welcome and may be matched to age-appropriate or training-based roles.


Can groups volunteer?
Yes. We welcome corporate, school, faith-based, Greek-letter, civic, and community groups.


Are background checks required?
Only for certain roles involving youth, sensitive data, or ongoing patient-facing support.
